Amy Fahrenkopf, MD, MPH

President, HSS Health & SVP at Hospital for Special Surgery

Dr. Fahrenkopf is responsible for the strategy and operations of HSS Health, focused on developing digitally-enabled, value-based musculoskeletal services and solutions for employers, payors, and consumers. In addition, she leads digital strategy and operations for the broader HSS enterprise.

An executive specializing in value-based care, population health, and strategy, Dr. Fahrenkopf has held leadership positions across the healthcare industry, including Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Castlight Health, and Socially Determined. In addition, she served as Deputy Under Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in their healthcare practice.

A pediatrician by training, Dr. Fahrenkopf served on the medical staff at Boston Children’s Hospital and was an instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Fahrenkopf earned her MD from Yale School of Medicine and her MPH from Harvard School of Public Health.
